In this episode, Katrina discusses the mission that colleges and universities have in educating the public on how to serve our democracy and strengthen democratic practices that embrace critical thinking, dialog, and civic engagement. Even while our 21st-century workforce needs, is skewed towards the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM), there still remains a need to educate people so that they are prepared to participate in the governing in our communities and beyond.
